hi there.. happy weekend 🙂
1 - AI doing brain scans in seconds
A group of researchers built a smart computer tool called Prima at the University of Michigan. This tool can check brain scans super fast - in only seconds.
When it looks at the scans, it's correct about 97 to 98 times if you asked it 100 questions. Prima can also figure out which patients need treatment the fastest.
To teach Prima, scientists showed it over 200,000 brain scans. They also gave it information about each patient's health story. This helped Prima learn to think like a doctor who reads scans. It's really good at finding serious things like strokes or brain bleeding.
Prima is still being worked on and tested. The scientists say it could cut down waiting times for patients. It could help out when hospitals don't have enough scan-reading doctors.
In the future, they hope Prima can learn to read other medical pictures like mammograms and ultrasounds too. Read more here!
