1 - Nvidia buys Groq for $20B
Nvidia has struck a massive agreement to acquire important artificial intelligence assets from Groq in a deal valued at $20 billion. Groq is widely recognized for its ultra-fast AI inference hardware.
As part of the arrangement, Nvidia will purchase Groq’s primary technologies and secure a licensing agreement, while Groq itself will continue operating as a separate company. GroqCloud is excluded from the transaction and will remain fully operational.
Groq’s founder and senior leadership team are expected to move over to Nvidia, where they will help expand and scale the licensed AI technology.
This marks the largest acquisition in Nvidia’s history, surpassing its $7 billion purchase of Mellanox in 2019.
