hi there… hope your week is off to a great start!

1 - 💰 OpenAI Making Microsoft Rich...

Microsoft put a lot of money into OpenAI, and now that money has grown into something truly amazing. Actor Ashton Kutcher also made a big gain, while OpenAI's own boss doesn't own any part of the company — and that's causing some big problems.

What's happening:

  1. Microsoft's move: They put in $13B back in 2019, plus $10B more later — and now their share is worth $228B.

  2. OpenAI's worth: A new round of funding put OpenAI's total value at $852B.

  3. Ashton Kutcher: His company Sound Ventures owns a small 0.15% piece — but that's still worth around $400M!

  4. Sam Altman: He runs OpenAI every day as CEO, but he doesn't own even one share of it.

  5. OpenAI's nonprofit side: The original nonprofit still holds 25.8% of the company, worth about $219B.

  6. Elon Musk's fight: Musk says OpenAI broke its promise to stay a nonprofit. He wants between $79B and $139B. The court case starts April 27, 2026.

Bottom line: OpenAI's growth has made early supporters very wealthy. But the unusual setup — a CEO with no ownership and big lawsuits — shows that behind this exciting story, there are some very real and complicated challenges.
